Blasts in Bangladesh

In the first such attack in politically volatile Bangladesh, a series of near simultaneous explosions today rocked cities and towns across the country, including the capital Dhaka, injuring over 100 people and prompting a security alert.

At least 61 of Bangladesh's 64 districts were hit by the bombings, suspected to have been carried out by a banned Islamic militant group, targeting government offices, courts and press clubs. Almost all the explosions occurred between 11:00 am and 11:30 am (local time). More than 100 people were injured in nearly 400 explosions of crude bombs, the private NTV television channel reported.

WHY isn't this news? WHY did I find this on Fark? What is the matter with our news media?

Okay. It is news on CNN.com, but just not as big of news as say, a former Power Ranger getting arrested.Hundreds of bombs go off in one the most populous cities in the world - tiny referencee under International. Former Power Ranger? Above the fold, one of lead stories. Great.
