If the US administration really supports democracy in Iraq, then they will repsect the wishes of the iraqi government and remove Blackwater as the Iraqis have requested. If they the adminstration stalls for the "joint commission" to make a recommendation, then the US administration is only undermining their own stataements about democracry in Iraq and only highlighting that the US is really wanting to run the show regardless. On one hand, the US states that the Iraqis need to take more control, on the other, it seems as if it is conditional as long as it reflects what the US wants.
The admin has no interest in allowing the Iraqi's any control over their own country. There is no power sharing.
It doesn't matter what the Iraqi's want, Blackwater will stay in country and they will remain there until they cease being profitable for Prince. What makes and keeps Prince happy, makes Bushco happy.
It doesn't matter that they are flash point for violence and their continued unwelcome presents put US soldiers at risk.
